Mechanical Modelling & Designing Course (MMDC) DESIGNING & ANALYSIS COURSES Go Back To Training Section

This is the specialization course in Mechanical Design offered by CADPOINT Kochi. The syllabus makes the student capable of designing a component from scratch to final prototype. The various industry standard aesthetic and functional guidelines will be taught by experienced tutors. Students will be trained in live projects and will be offered course completion certificates & Intern certificates*

Software Used

Catia :-It’s a Product design CAD software developed by Dassault Systems & one of the most popular in the Industry. Using this software, one can make part design, assembly drawings, kinematic simulations, parts positioning, mechanism design, photo realistic images, exploded views etc. It’s mainly used in aerospace and automotive industry.

SolidWorks :- It’s a 3D CAD software developed by Dassault Systems for designing, focused on consumer products. It’s also used for product design, simulation, electrical design, product data management, concept design etc. Major applications are part modelling, assembly creation, sheet metals, weldments, surface modelling, mould & die design etc

PTC Creo :-CREO (Formerly known as Pro/Engineer or Pro E) is a product design software created by PTC(Parametric Technology Corporation) for 2D/3D CAD, parametric, direct modelling. It also features simulation tools for analyzing the product’s performance including structural, vibration & thermal analysis.

Siemens Nx :-It’s a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software in the Industry created by SIEMENS. It is used for design, simulation and machine tools solution. Its design applications include product design, industrial/electro-mechanical design, and mechatronics design. Siemens NX is also used for structural/thermal/flow analysis, simulation and optimization. Siemens NX plays a major role in CAM for machine tool control, direct numerical control, CMM programming as well as for tooling and fixture design. It mainly supports only Siemens machines.
